Piranha Bar en ébullition : quatre groupes, quatre identités, une seule mission – faire trembler Montréal
Montréal, 3 juillet 2026 – Le Piranha Bar a une fois de plus prouvé pourquoi il demeure l’un des lieux incontournables de la scène métal montréalaise. Devant un public fidèle et passionné, quatre formations locales se sont succédé, chacune apportant sa propre couleur à une soirée où l’intensité n’a jamais réellement diminué. De l’ouverture percutante de Upon the End jusqu’à la conclusion explosive d’In Disarray, l’énergie était palpable autant sur scène que dans la foule.
Upon the End : une entrée en matière convaincante
Ouvrir une soirée n’est jamais une tâche facile, mais Upon the End a relevé le défi avec assurance. Dès les premières notes, le groupe a imposé un rythme soutenu et une présence scénique qui a rapidement capté l’attention des spectateurs déjà présents.
Les musiciens ont livré une prestation solide, démontrant une belle cohésion et une exécution précise. Malgré un public encore en train de se rassembler, l’énergie déployée sur scène a rapidement créé une ambiance favorable pour lancer la soirée sur les chapeaux de roues.
UPON THE END
Polygraph : l’adversité transformée en force
Polygraph a pris le relais dans des circonstances particulières. L’un des deux chanteurs étant aux prises avec des problèmes de voix, Chris a assuré seul l’ensemble de la prestation vocale. Une responsabilité de taille qu’il a relevée avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et d’intensité.
Loin de laisser paraître cette situation, le groupe a offert une performance solide où puissance et précision étaient au rendez-vous. Les riffs lourds, les changements de rythme bien maîtrisés et la complicité entre les musiciens ont permis de maintenir une énergie constante.
POLYGRAPH
Descape : une montée en puissance… et une excellente nouvelle
Descape est arrivé avec une énergie contagieuse qui a immédiatement trouvé écho dans la salle. Les musiciens ont occupé la scène avec confiance, offrant une performance dynamique où chaque morceau semblait pousser l’intensité un peu plus loin.
Le public s’est montré particulièrement réceptif, répondant aux appels du groupe et participant activement tout au long de la prestation. L’ambiance devenait de plus en plus électrique, préparant parfaitement le terrain pour la tête d’affiche.
Le groupe en a également profité pour partager une excellente nouvelle avec les spectateurs : un nouvel album est attendu pour le mois d’octobre. Une annonce qui a été accueillie avec enthousiasme et qui promet une fin d’année très intéressante pour les amateurs de métal québécois.
DESCAPE
In Disarray : une conclusion explosive
C’est finalement In Disarray qui a eu la responsabilité de conclure la soirée, et le groupe n’a pas déçu. Dès son arrivée sur scène, l’intensité a franchi un nouveau niveau. Les musiciens ont livré une prestation puissante, maîtrisée et remplie d’émotion.
Les breakdowns ont provoqué les réactions attendues dans la foule, les headbangs étaient omniprésents et le pit s’est rapidement animé. La communication avec le public était naturelle, créant une véritable connexion entre la scène et la salle.
Chaque membre semblait pleinement investi, offrant une performance où technique, passion et énergie se rejoignaient parfaitement. Une excellente façon de clore une soirée déjà très réussie.
Une scène locale en excellente santé
Au-delà des performances individuelles, cette soirée a surtout rappelé la richesse de la scène métal québécoise. Quatre groupes aux personnalités distinctes ont partagé la même scène tout en proposant des univers différents, démontrant la diversité et la vitalité du métal local.
Le Piranha Bar demeure un endroit essentiel pour découvrir des groupes émergents comme pour retrouver des formations bien établies. Lorsque les musiciens donnent tout et que le public répond présent, le résultat est exactement ce qu’on espère d’une soirée métal : authentique, énergique et mémorable.

Montreal, July 3, 2026 – Piranha Bar once again proved why it remains one of the essential venues in Montreal’s metal scene. In front of a loyal and passionate crowd, four local bands took the stage, each bringing its own identity to an evening where the intensity never truly faded. From the hard-hitting opening set by Upon the End to the explosive conclusion by In Disarray, the energy was palpable both on stage and in the crowd.
Upon the End: A Convincing Opening Statement
Opening a show is never an easy task, but Upon the End rose to the challenge with confidence. From the very first notes, the band established a steady pace and a strong stage presence that quickly captured the attention of the spectators already in attendance.
The musicians delivered a solid performance, demonstrating strong cohesion and precise execution. Despite the crowd still being in the process of gathering, the energy displayed on stage quickly created the right atmosphere to launch the evening at full speed.
Polygraph: Turning Adversity Into Strength
Polygraph took over under unusual circumstances. With one of the two vocalists dealing with voice problems, Chris handled the entire vocal performance on his own. It was a major responsibility that he carried out with professionalism and intensity.
Far from letting the situation show, the band delivered a solid performance where power and precision were both present. The heavy riffs, well-controlled tempo changes, and chemistry between the musicians helped maintain a constant level of energy.
Descape: Building Momentum… and Sharing Excellent News
Descape arrived with contagious energy that immediately resonated throughout the venue. The musicians commanded the stage with confidence, delivering a dynamic performance where each song seemed to push the intensity a little further.
The crowd was particularly receptive, responding to the band’s calls and actively participating throughout the set. The atmosphere became increasingly electric, perfectly setting the stage for the headliner.
The band also took the opportunity to share excellent news with the audience: a new album is expected in October. The announcement was met with enthusiasm and promises a very interesting end of the year for fans of Quebec metal.
