Kaboom Fest 2026 : une première soirée qui fait vibrer les Foufounes Électriques!
Le vendredi 16 octobre, les Foufounes Électriques de Montréal accueillaient la première soirée du Kaboom Fest 2026. Quatre formations étaient au programme pour débuter en beauté cette événement, dans une ambiance festive et vraiment conviviale. HiddenWare, Confined to Oblivion, Alyksir et Sanguine Glacialis.
Avec une salle bien remplie et un son assez puissant pour faire trembler les murs, tout était en place pour passer une belle soirée. L’événement avait aussi une touche personnelle avec les célébrations entourant l’anniversaire de Patrick Latour, de Kaboom Entertainment. Bref, une ambiance amicale et rassembleuse comme on les aime.
HiddenWare : une formule à trois qui sort de l’ordinaire
C’est HiddenWare qui avait la tâche d’ouvrir la soirée avec son metal progressif. Même avec seulement trois membres, le groupe a rapidement réussi à capter l’attention du public.
L’un des éléments les plus intéressants de la prestation était l’échange d’instruments entre les deux musiciens aux cordes, qui passaient de la guitare à la basse et vice versa. Derrière sa batterie, le troisième membre s’occupait aussi des voix, ce qui ajoutait une petite touche particulière à cette formation.
Le public a très bien accueilli le groupe, qui a lancé la soirée de belle façon avec une formule originale et une approche musicale qui ne passait vraiment pas inaperçue.
HIDDENWARE
Confined to Oblivion : une prestation solide
La soirée s’est poursuivie avec Confined to Oblivion, une formation de cinq musiciens qui a livré une bonne prestation sur le plan musical.
Le groupe a contribué à garder le rythme, dans une ambiance qui restait agréable aux Foufounes Électriques. Une performance efficace qui s’intégrait parfaitement à la programmation de cette première journée.
CONFINED TO OBLIVION
Alyksir : le savoir-faire au rendez-vous
Alyksir a offert une excellente performance, notamment grâce à la présence scénique du chanteur, qui savais occuper l’espace tout en se retirant à l’occasion pour jouer de sa guitare plus aisément. Le talent des musiciens et la qualité de leur exécution ont également marqué cette partie de la soirée. En interprétant Devourer dans son intégralité, le groupe a plongé les Foufounes Électriques dsns son univers, offrant au public une immersion complète dans son album.
ALYKSIR
Sanguine Glacialis : une conclusion convaincante
Pour finir la soirée, Sanguine Glacialis a offert une excellente prestation, très appréciée par le public.
La formation s’est démarquée par sa qualité musicale, le talent de ses musiciens et la présence scénique de sa chanteuse. L’ensemble était vraiment cohérent, et le groupe a réussi à garder les spectateurs intéressés jusqu’à la toute fin.
L’accueil chaleureux du public confirmait que Sanguine Glacialis avait parfaitement sa place dans cette programmation. Une conclusion convaincante pour cette première soirée du Kaboom Fest.
SANGUINE GLACIALIS
Une première soirée réussie
Entre la formule originale de HiddenWare, la prestation solide de Confined to Oblivion, l’excellence musicale d’Alyksir et la performance convaincante de Sanguine Glacialis, cette première soirée du Kaboom Fest 2026 a proposé une programmation variée et de qualité.
Le son puissant, la salle bien remplie et l’ambiance amicale ont contribué à faire de ce rendez-vous un super moment pour les amateurs présents. Les célébrations entourant l’anniversaire de Patrick Latour ajoutaient aussi une touche spéciale à l’événement.
La première soirée est maintenant derrière nous, mais le Kaboom Fest n’a pas encore dit son dernier mot. On se donne rendez-vous pour la suite des festivités!

Kaboom Fest 2026: An opening night that rocked Les Foufounes Électriques!
On Friday, October 16, Les Foufounes Électriques in Montréal hosted the opening night of Kaboom Fest 2026. Four bands were on the bill to kick off the event in style, with a festive and truly welcoming atmosphere: HiddenWare, Confined to Oblivion, Alyksir and Sanguine Glacialis.
With a packed venue and sound powerful enough to shake the walls, everything was in place for a great evening. The event also had a personal touch, with birthday celebrations for Patrick Latour of Kaboom Entertainment. All in all, it was the kind of friendly atmosphere that brings people together, just the way we like it.
HiddenWare: An unconventional three-piece
HiddenWare had the task of opening the evening with their progressive metal. Even with just three members, the band quickly captured the audience’s attention.
One of the most interesting aspects of their performance was the instrument swapping between the two string players, who switched from guitar to bass and vice versa. Behind the kit, the third member also handled vocals, adding another distinctive touch to the band’s setup.
The audience gave the band a warm reception as they kicked off the evening with an original format and a musical approach that certainly stood out.
Confined to Oblivion: A solid performance
The evening continued with Confined to Oblivion, a five-piece band that delivered a musically solid performance.
The band helped keep the momentum going while the atmosphere at Les Foufounes Électriques remained enjoyable. An effective set that fit perfectly into the opening night’s lineup.
Alyksir: Skill on full display
Alyksir delivered an excellent performance, driven in part by their singer’s stage presence. He knew how to command the space while occasionally stepping back to focus on his guitar playing. The musicians’ talent and the precision of their playing also stood out during this part of the evening. Performing Devourer in its entirety, the band drew Les Foufounes Électriques into their world, giving the audience a fully immersive experience of the album.
Sanguine Glacialis: A compelling finale
To close out the evening, Sanguine Glacialis delivered an excellent performance that was warmly received by the audience.
The band stood out for their musical quality, the talent of their musicians and their frontwoman’s stage presence. Everything came together beautifully, and the group kept the audience engaged right through to the end.
The crowd’s warm response confirmed that Sanguine Glacialis belonged on this lineup. A compelling conclusion to the opening night of Kaboom Fest.
A successful opening night
Between HiddenWare’s original setup, Confined to Oblivion’s solid set, Alyksir’s musical excellence and Sanguine Glacialis’ compelling performance, the opening night of Kaboom Fest 2026 offered a varied, high-quality lineup.
The powerful sound, packed venue and friendly atmosphere made it a great evening for the fans in attendance. The birthday celebrations for Patrick Latour also added a special touch to the event.
The opening night is now behind us, but Kaboom Fest still has plenty more in store. See you for the rest of the festivities!
