Don’t miss The Caravan!

ENGLISH version
On October 8, 2026, the people of Quebec City were treated to a special premiere: the launch of Forgotten Tales’ fourth album, titled Other Times. For the occasion, nearly 200 people gathered at La Chapelle Spectacles (formerly Centre d’art La Chapelle). The band, newly signed to Rockshots Records, marked its return after an absence of about fifteen years.
Between songs, Sonia Pineault (vocals) chatted with the crowd, either to introduce the next track or to discuss the album, which will be available on February 12, 2027. While the album seems to move away from the narrative arcs that made the first two albums so successful, Other Times is shaping up to be an excellent album marking the band’s long-awaited return.
Of course, Forgotten Tales wasn’t there solely to introduce its new compositions, but also to bring back memories from The Promise, All the Sinners and We Shall See the Light. This evening, which had been eagerly awaited for a long time according to the various comments I heard in the crowd, reminded me of the launch of We Shall See the Light at L’Impérial in 2010.
Although there have been some lineup changes with the addition of Cédrick Langlais on bass and Xavier Gonthier-Blouin on drums, the chemistry between the members was still very much there. Sonia was in fine voice (as always!), while Marco Lavoie and Martin Desharnais (guitars) once again demonstrated the extent of their talent.
While I really enjoyed the new songs, I’m eager to listen to the entire album, which was available exclusively to the people of Quebec City. All that’s left is to find myself a CD player (!), but that’s another story.
All in all, the crowd had an excellent evening, and I warmly recommend catching Forgotten Tales’ upcoming performances. Don’t miss The Caravan!
