La formation power/speed metal allemande SCULFORGE a lancé son premier album intitulé – tout simplement – « Intergalactic Battle Tunes…Stories from Behind the Dark Side of the Moon to the Milky Way and Beyond! » le 23 juin 2023. Composé de 26 titres, il est parsemé de courtes transitions sonores pour aller avec le concept de l’album.
La narration est assez intense et avec une voix semi-intergalactique. Le côté speed metal est dominant et flirt souvent avec le thrash metal. Mention spéciale au superbe titre nommé « Schwanengesang ». SCULFORGE nous présente une sorte de mashup entre Gloryhammer, Dragonforce et Galactic Empire. D’ailleurs, « The Escape » ne laisse aucun doute sur le clin d’oeil Dragonforcesque!
