Rappel : Pierce The Veil en spectacle à la Place Bell de Laval le 27 mai prochain

Le groupe post-hardcore/rock alternatif Pierce The Veil sera de passage à la Place Bell de Laval le lundi 27 mai 2025, dans le cadre de leur tournée mondiale « I Can’t Hear You Tour », qui s’étend jusqu’en octobre. Avec déjà plus de 400 000 billets vendus et plusieurs salles de renom affichant complet (dont le Madison Square Garden de New York, le Red Rocks Amphitheatre au Colorado et le Kia Forum de Los Angeles), cette tournée s’annonce comme l’un des événements rock les plus marquants de l’année.

À noter que pour ce spectacle, une partie des recettes de la vente des billets sera reversée à la fondation Living The Dream, une organisation qui réalise les rêves de fans de musique atteints de maladies graves. Ces journées de rêve incluent des rencontres dans les coulisses, des accès en loge et des moments privilégiés avec leurs groupes et artistes préférés.

Plus tôt ce mois-ci, le 9 mai, Pierce The Veil a lancé la version deluxe de son album acclamé The Jaws of Life via Fearless Records. Paru initialement en 2023, l’album s’était classé #1 du palmarès Hard Rock Albums, #2 sur le chart alternatif, et #14 sur le Billboard 200. Le single « Emergency Contact » est devenu leur tout premier #1 à la radio alternative. D’autres titres comme « Pass The Nirvana », « Even When I’m Not With You » et « 12 Fractures » (avec Chloe Moriondo) ont récolté à ce jour plus de 140 millions d’écoutes.

Une édition deluxe bonifiée

La version augmentée de The Jaws of Life inclut deux morceaux inédits :

Une reprise audacieuse de « Karma Police » de Radiohead, sortie en 2024
Le tout nouveau single « Kiss Me Now », dévoilé le 9 mai

Ce dernier révèle un côté plus vulnérable du groupe, tout en conservant leur énergie caractéristique. Le chanteur Vic Fuentes explique :
« Kiss Me Now est une lettre d’amour à ma femme, Danielle. Elle évoque la peur que le temps file trop vite. J’ai été inspiré par cette citation : ‘Il n’y aura jamais de moment parfait pour quoi que ce soit.’ Ce morceau me rappelle de vivre le moment présent au lieu de trop réfléchir. »

Une tournée mondiale d’envergure

Le « I Can’t Hear You Tour » comprend plus de 60 dates en Amérique du Nord, en Europe et en Amérique latine. La portion nord-américaine comptera sur Sleeping With Sirens en soutien direct, avec Beach Weather et Daisy Grenade sur certaines dates. La tournée européenne mettra en vedette Cavetown, Hot Mulligan et Crawlers, alors que la tournée sud-américaine prévoit des arrêts majeurs à São Paulo, Mexico, Buenos Aires et plus encore.

Pierce The Veil, qui a vu le jour en 2006 à San Diego, a su évoluer au fil des années pour devenir un pilier de la scène rock actuelle. Leur album The Jaws of Life marque une nouvelle ère dans leur parcours, incorporant des influences 90s grunge tout en conservant leur fondation emo/post-hardcore.

Earlier this month, on May 9, Pierce The Veil released the deluxe edition of their acclaimed album The Jaws of Life via Fearless Records. Originally released in 2023, the album debuted at #1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, #2 on the Alternative Albums chart, and #14 on the Billboard 200. The single “Emergency Contact” became the band’s first #1 at alternative radio. Other standout tracks like “Pass The Nirvana,” “Even When I’m Not With You,” and “12 Fractures” (featuring Chloe Moriondo) have collectively amassed over 140 million streams to date.

A Deluxe Edition with New Material

The deluxe edition of The Jaws of Life features two previously unreleased tracks:

The new track reveals a more vulnerable side of the band, while retaining their signature intensity. Frontman Vic Fuentes explains:

“Kiss Me Now is a love song to my wife, Danielle. It explores the fear of time passing too quickly. I was inspired by a quote I find very true: ‘There will never be a perfect time for anything.’ This song reminds me to be present and stop overthinking.”

A Worldwide Tour on a Grand Scale

The I Can’t Hear You Tour includes over 60 shows across North America, Europe, and Latin America. In North America, the band is joined by Sleeping With Sirens as direct support, with Beach Weather and Daisy Grenade on select dates. The European leg features Cavetown, Hot Mulligan, and Crawlers, while the Latin American run will stop in São Paulo, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and more.
