Plague Cathedral est un duo canadien formé en 2025 par Evillair de NordicWinter/Mortopsy et Chris Undirheimar Undirheimar/Sublimatio Mortis. À l’essence, Plague Cathedral crée une forme de Doom métal aux sonorités industrielles et hautement expérimentales possédant une atmosphère sombre et extrêmement lourde. Conceptuellement parlant, leur thématique se situe autour de la peste noire médiévale comme allégorie pour l’inévitabilité et la fatalité de la mort. Leur imagerie reflète cette vision macabre et cruellement poétique étant également reflétée dans l’esprit même de la formation.

Plague Cathedral is a Canadian duo formed in 2025 by Evillair from NordicWinter/Mortopsy and Chris Undirheimar from Undirheimar/Sublimatio Mortis. In essence, Plague Cathedral creates a form of experimental Doom metal with elements of industrial sonorities and an overall grim and dark atmosphere. Conceptually speaking, it revolves around the subject of the medieval black plague, pestilence and the inevitability of death. The imagery used mirrors this foreboding and ominous theme and is also clearly audible in the crushing, bleak soundscape and is prophetically narrated throughout.
