Avec Exuvia, Cage Fight arrive en force, sans faire de compromis. Dès la première note, on comprend que le groupe ne cherche pas à nous faire patienter : c’est direct, intense et sans détour. Ils mélangent avec brio le hardcore, le thrash et le metal moderne, et l’énergie est palpable tout au long de l’album. Exuvia ne fait pas dans la dentelle, mais il réussit tout de même à captiver l’auditeur.
L’album est construit sur une base solide d’agressivité contrôlée. Les riffs sont tranchants, rapides, parfois lourds, mais toujours accrocheurs. Il y a un groove sous-jacent qui rend chaque breakdown particulièrement efficace, un vrai moment de libération. La section rythmique est puissante et précise, chaque coup de batterie est bien placé et donne un vrai impact à la musique.
