Une soirée sous le thème de l’intensité au Club Soda
Le 7 septembre dernier au Club Soda, se produisaient cinq excellents groupes en vue d’une soirée déjantée. Cette soirée était en l’honneur de Comeback Kid et de leur tournée canadienne pour le 20ième anniversaire de l’album « Wake The Dead ».
Dès mon arrivée, j’ai remarqué que la salle était presque remplie, ce qui en disait long sur ce qui était à prévoir. Pour débuter, nous avons eu droit à une solide prestation de Cross Check. Moi qui ne connaissais pas le groupe, j’ai été agréablement surpris de constater que c’était une femme à la barre! Ils ont carrément donné le ton à la veillée.
CROSS CHECK
Deuxième surprise, Punitive Damage, formation hardcore punk de Vancouver menée par Caitlin Rutledge, avec encore une excellente chanteuse! Avec un cran de plus en intensité, ils nous ont offert une prestation d’enfer. La foule était de plus en plus agitée comme si elle s’échauffait pour les autres groupes.
PUNITIVE DAMAGE
Prowl, représentant du hardcore montréalais, a ensuite embarqué sur scène avec beaucoup d’énergie. Connus pour leur mélange de hardcore et de thrash, ils nous ont donné une performance à l’état brut. L’assemblée a adoré ça et en redemandait. Elle était survoltée. Plusieurs montaient sur scène pour se lancer dans la foule.
PROWL
Ensuite, nous avons eu droit à Incendiary, tout droit sorti de New York. Avec une performance « enflammée », ils nous ont montré de quel bois ils se chauffent. Incendiary est définitivement ultra-intense avec la foule qui participait activement en chantant, plus de stage dives et une énergie brute typique de la scène hardcore new-yorkaise.
INCENDIARY
Comme prévu, Comeback Kid embarqua sur la scène du Club Soda en tout dernier. La foule était là pour ça! Dès les premières notes, le chaos s’installa parmi les présents. Des circle pits, du bodysurfing, du hardcore dance et beaucoup de headbang! Pour moi ce fût un bon retour dans mes souvenirs.
En conclusion, ce fût une grosse soirée très énergique avec beaucoup d’action et des groupes absolument extraordinaires! J’ai beaucoup aimé voir des formations ayant une chanteuse et je trouve important de promouvoir cela. Merci à Extensive Enterprise et à tous ceux impliqués.

On September 7 at Club Soda, five excellent bands took the stage for a wild night. The evening was held in honor of Comeback Kid and their Canadian tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the album « Wake The Dead. »
From the moment I arrived, I noticed the venue was nearly full, which said a lot about what was to come. To kick things off, we were treated to a solid performance by Cross Check. Not knowing the band beforehand, I was pleasantly surprised to see a woman fronting the group! They definitely set the tone for the night.
The second surprise was Punitive Damage, a hardcore punk outfit from Vancouver led by Caitlin Rutledge, once again with an excellent female vocalist! With even more intensity, they delivered a killer set. The crowd was getting more and more fired up, as if warming up for the rest of the bands.
Then came Prowl, representing the Montreal hardcore scene. Known for their blend of hardcore and thrash, they hit the stage with explosive energy and gave a raw performance. The crowd loved it and wanted more. The atmosphere was electric, with several people jumping on stage to dive back into the pit.
Next up was Incendiary, straight out of New York. With a blazing performance, they showed us exactly what they’re made of. Incendiary was absolutely relentless, with the audience actively singing along, more stage dives, and that raw energy so typical of the New York hardcore scene.
As expected, Comeback Kid closed out the night at Club Soda. The crowd was there for them! From the very first notes, chaos erupted among the fans. Circle pits, bodysurfing, hardcore dancing, and plenty of headbanging! For me, it was a great trip down memory lane.
In conclusion, it was a high-energy night packed with action and absolutely amazing bands! I especially enjoyed seeing groups with female vocalists, and I think it’s important to highlight that. Thanks to Extensive Enterprise and everyone involved.
