Pour une 7e année consécutive, j’ai l’immense privilège de couvrir 70000 Tons of Metal, la plus grande croisière heavy metal au monde. L’édition 2026 se déroulera du 29 janvier au 2 février, à bord du Freedom of the Seas, avec un itinéraire reliant Miami à Nassau, aux Bahamas, avant un retour à Miami.
Initialement annoncée vers Labadee en Haïti, la destination a été modifiée en raison de la situation actuelle dans la région. Nassau devient donc l’escale officielle de cette 14e édition.
Un marathon métal en pleine mer
Pendant quatre jours, c’est un véritable marathon pour les métalleux, près de 60 groupes, environ 120 spectacles, répartis sur quatre scènes, le tout à bord du navire de Royal Caribbean. Un environnement unique où la routine disparaît complètement, aucun stress, aucun souci, seulement la musique, les rencontres et cette énergie impossible à recréer ailleurs.

For a 7th consecutive year, I have the incredible privilege of covering 70000 Tons of Metal, the world’s largest heavy metal cruise. The 2026 edition will take place from January 29 to February 2, aboard the Freedom of the Seas, sailing from Miami, Florida, to Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Miami.
Originally announced with Labadee, Haiti as its destination, the itinerary was changed due to the ongoing unrest in the region. Nassau will therefore serve as the official port of call for this 14th edition.
A metal marathon at sea
Over four days, this event becomes a true marathon for metalheads, nearly 60 bands, around 120 performances, spread across four stages, all aboard the Royal Caribbean vessel. It’s a one-of-a-kind environment where everyday routine completely disappears, no stress, no worries, just music, human connections, and an energy you simply can’t recreate anywhere else.
