MAMMOTH WVH CONTINUE SON ENVOL
Je n’ai que du respect pour Wolfgang Van Halen, qui roule sous le nom de Mammoth. Il refuse d’utiliser la voie facile tracée par son père et crée son propre chemin. Il vient de sortir son troisième album The End, encore une fois composé et joué en entier par lui.
Sur scène, bien sûr, c’est différent, entouré d’excellents musiciens dont Frank Sidoris (Slash Band) et Jon Jourdan.
Laissez-moi vous dire qu’à trois guitaristes, ça sonne.
Puisant parmi ses trois albums, il réussit à nous démontrer son talent à la guitare, se permettant quelques prouesses signées Eddie Van Halen, et une voix vraiment puissante. 90 minutes d’excellent rock et de riffs accrocheurs.
Moment émotif lors de la chanson The Distance, dédiée à son père Eddie, décédé il y a quelques années. Un superbe vidéo en arrière-plan montrait des moments de Wolfgang avec son père. Très touchant.

10 Years et James And The Cold Gun ont ouvert la soirée avec un bon rock très 90’s pour 10 Years et un old school rock n’ roll pour James And The Cold Gun.
Du côté de 10 Years, le groupe roule sa bosse depuis plus de 25 ans. Formé à Knoxville en 1999, il est un peu plus tranquille au niveau des albums complets depuis quelques années. Il a sorti No Light, No Light l’année dernière. Avec un son plus mature, on nage beaucoup plus en profondeur. Cette prestation risque de donner le goût de suivre la suite, puisque la dose de modernité est assez proéminente.

Pour ouvrir la soirée, James And The Cold Gun est un groupe de rock alternatif originaire de Cardiff, au Pays de Galles. Formé par James Joseph (anciennement de Holding Absence) et James Biss (anciennement de Frown Upon), le groupe rassemble leurs univers musicaux pour créer un son accrocheur. Moins connu du public, il s’est probablement fait quelques nouveaux fans avec des sonorités dynamiques et un côté rétro qui a de quoi accrocher.

MAMMOTH CONTINUES ITS ASCENT
I have nothing but respect for Wolfgang Van Halen, who performs under the name Mammoth. He refuses to take the easy path laid out by his father and instead creates his own. He has just released his third album, The End, once again written and performed entirely by him.
On stage, of course, it is different, surrounded by excellent musicians including Frank Sidoris (Slash Band) and Jon Jourdan.
Let me tell you, with three guitarists, it sounds massive.
Drawing from his three albums, he manages to demonstrate his guitar talent, allowing himself a few flourishes reminiscent of Eddie Van Halen, along with a truly powerful voice. Ninety minutes of excellent rock and catchy riffs.
An emotional moment came during the song The Distance, dedicated to his father Eddie, who passed away a few years ago. A beautiful video played in the background showing moments between Wolfgang and his father. Very touching.
10 Years and James And The Cold Gun opened the evening with a solid 90s-style rock set from 10 Years and old school rock ’n’ roll from James And The Cold Gun.
As for 10 Years, the band has been around for more than 25 years. Formed in Knoxville in 1999, they have been a bit quieter in terms of full albums in recent years. They released No Light, No Light last year. With a more mature sound, the band dives much deeper musically. This performance definitely makes you want to follow what comes next, as the modern edge is quite prominent.
Opening the evening, James And The Cold Gun is an alternative rock band from Cardiff, Wales. Formed by James Joseph (formerly of Holding Absence) and James Biss (formerly of Frown Upon), the band blends their musical backgrounds to create an engaging sound. Less known to the public, they likely gained a few new fans with their dynamic sound and a retro vibe that is easy to latch onto.
