Les années 80 étaient au rendez-vous grâce à l’excellente formation canadienne Honeymoon Suite. Oui oui, ils existent encore ! Ils ont même sorti un très bon album en 2025.
Honeymoon Suite, c’est le genre de soirée où tout le monde est debout et chante les tounes qui ont marqué une période magique où le rock canadien était très dominant !
Pratiquement le line-up original, à l’exception du claviériste qui joue maintenant avec Kim Mitchell.
Côté forme, pas grand-chose à dire, Johnnie Dee est en voix, Derry Grehan, guitariste incroyable, joue comme s’il avait 20 ans ! Donc pas besoin de vous dire que tout le monde a passé une belle soirée, tous les hits y étaient, de « New Girl Now », « Feel It Again » et l’incontournable balade « What Does It Take ».
Bref, Québec semble être un château fort pour le band, car le groupe en était à une deuxième présence au Capitol en trois mois ! Je ne m’en plaindrai pas, j’ai même déjà hâte au prochain ! À suivre !

The ’80s were in full force thanks to the excellent Canadian band Honeymoon Suite. Yes, yes, they still exist! They even released a very good album in 2025.
Honeymoon Suite is the kind of show where everyone is on their feet, singing along to the songs that defined a magical era when Canadian rock was dominant!
Pretty much the original lineup, except for the keyboardist who now plays with Kim Mitchell.
Performance-wise, not much to say, Johnnie Dee is in great voice, and Derry Grehan, an incredible guitarist, plays like he’s 20 years old! So no need to tell you that everyone had a great night, all the hits were there, from “New Girl Now,” “Feel It Again,” and the essential ballad “What Does It Take.”
In short, Québec City seems to be a stronghold for the band, as this was their second appearance at the Capitol in three months! I won’t complain, I’m already looking forward to the next one! To be continued!
