Puis, le moment tant attendu : Pierce The Veil.

From Disappointment to Ecstasy: Pierce The Veil Set Laval on Fire!
It was at Place Bell on May 27 that Pierce The Veil made their big return, joined by Sleeping With Sirens and Beach Weather. And honestly? I wasn’t expecting much… but I got everything!
Small confession: I had seen Pierce The Veil a few years ago, and even though I listen to them a lot, I had walked away with a rather underwhelming impression. But this time? They completely blew me away.
Beach Weather kicked things off with an open-sky summer road trip vibe. Their laid-back energy was perfect to break the ice. It was their first time in Laval (Beach Weather had previously played in Montreal in 2016 and 2023), and certainly not their last! The crowd clearly got into it, singing along to the choruses like they were part of the band. As for me, Sex, Drugs, Etc. was an absolute favorite.
Then Sleeping With Sirens took the stage to thunderous applause. I didn’t know them very well, but their stage presence is irresistible. Kellin Quinn’s voice is overflowing with charisma, and guitarist Nick Martin literally made his way through the entire crowd with his guitar all the way to the back. Pure joy. The audience went wild, especially during the classics that everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs.
And then, the long-awaited moment: Pierce The Veil. And this was something else entirely. They were welcomed like heroes. I have to mention Jaime Preciado, their bassist — he jumps, runs, and electrifies the stage without ever slowing down. He’s the embodiment of the band’s spirit live, a ball of energy that infects the whole venue.
The acoustic moment during Yeah Boy and Doll Face was disarmingly beautiful. But it was during Caraphernelia that I completely disconnected from reality — I was screaming every word like my life depended on it, and clearly, I wasn’t the only one!
And what about the encore? Disasterology made the floor shake, and of course, the final track King For A Day, with Kellin Quinn, absolutely set the crowd (and my vocal cords) on fire. The euphoria in the room was indescribable. We all could’ve kept going for hours.
