Trois excellents groupes de la scène locale ont enflammé le Bar Le Rustique, situé sur la rue Dufferin à Granby. Présentée par KBS Production, cette soirée survoltée mettait à l’honneur Burning Attic, un groupe de metalcore originaire de Drummondville actif depuis 2020, Killed by Sorrow, formation metalcore/hardcore de Granby relancée en 2021 après une longue pause avec de nouveaux membres, ainsi que Burning The Oppressor, vétérans du death metal montréalais actifs depuis 2012.
Le bal s’est ouvert avec Burning Attic, qui a immédiatement capté l’attention. Pour ceux qui les découvraient, l’impact fut immédiat! Le groupe a livré une performance fougueuse, digne d’un band prometteur, démontrant qu’il a tout ce qu’il faut pour aller loin. Leur énergie contagieuse a bien lancé la soirée et mis la table pour la suite.
BURNING ATTIC
C’est ensuite Killed by Sorrow qui a pris possession de la scène. Le groupe, bien rodé, a enchaîné ses plus récents morceaux avec assurance, livrant une prestation énergique et bien sentie. Le chanteur s’est même aventuré dans la foule, créant une belle interaction avec les spectateurs. On nous informe d’ailleurs qu’un troisième EP est prévu pour la fin de 2025.
KILLED BY SORROW
Enfin, Burning The Oppressor a clôturé la soirée avec puissance lors de leur spectacle de lancement officiel à Granby pour leur tout nouvel album Waking Nightmare, paru le 18 avril 2025 via M&O Music. Leur musique, aussi intense que leur prestation scénique, a secoué la salle du début à la fin. Un death mélodique puissant aux riffs finement ciselés. BTO ne fait pas dans la dentelle! Leur réputation n’est plus à faire : plusieurs spectateurs arboraient fièrement des chandails à l’effigie du groupe. Ce nouveau chapitre confirme que BTO est plus fort que jamais.
En résumé : une soirée mémorable et un rendez-vous immanquable pour les amateurs de metal d’ici. Bravo à KBS Production, à Burning Attic, Killed by Sorrow et Burning The Oppressor pour ce moment fort de la scène locale!

Three excellent local bands set fire to Bar Le Rustique on Dufferin Street in Granby. Presented by KBS Production, this high-energy evening featured Burning Attic, a metalcore band from Drummondville active since 2020, Killed by Sorrow, a metalcore/hardcore group from Granby that reformed in 2021 after a long break with new members, and Burning The Oppressor, Montreal-based death metal veterans active since 2012.
The night kicked off with Burning Attic, who immediately grabbed the crowd’s attention. For those seeing them for the first time, it hit hard! The band delivered a fiery and promising performance, showing they have everything it takes to go far. Their raw energy was the perfect way to launch the evening and warm up the stage.
Next up was Killed by Sorrow, who confidently took over with a tight and energetic set. The Granby-based group played their latest songs with great stage presence, and the singer even jumped into the crowd to stir things up, creating strong engagement with the audience. A third EP is expected to be released by the end of 2025, according to KBS.
Closing the night, Burning The Oppressor delivered a crushing performance as part of the official Granby release show for their brand-new album Waking Nightmare, released on April 18, 2025 via M&O Music. Their music was as intense as their stage presence, shaking the venue from start to finish. With fans proudly wearing BTO shirts, the band’s solid reputation was on full display. This new chapter proves that Burning The Oppressor is stronger than ever.
In short: a night to remember and a must-see for local metal fans. Hats off to KBS Production, Burning Attic, Killed by Sorrow, and Burning The Oppressor for an unforgettable event!
